The region is situated at the western end of the Swiss Alps, containing the Les Diablerets glacier, Villars, Leysin and Les Mosses ski areas. This offers a diverse ski area which we can visit on different days. The chalet is located at 1,450m in Les Mosses. This is an ideal area for starting out, refreshing techniques, or playing on jumps! For much of the week, we travel by bus, to explore other areas in the region. Les Diablerets offers guaranteed snow at 3,000m and an excellent snowpark. The premiere area of Villars offers long wide runs, two main peaks and some good bumps terrain. Leysin boasts jumps, half-pipe and spectacular views over Lake Geneva from the revolving restaurant. Our accommodation has bedrooms for 2,4 & 6 each with a washbasin. It is only 100m from the nearest lift, which will be convenient when we choose to ski here and it links to La Lecherette. Les Mosses is really only a hamlet, but there are a few shops and bars scattered about. Local sportshopsIf you need to hire anything in resort (helmet CHF30ish for the week, softboot snowboard circa CHF180 for the week), there are two shops in Les Mosses which will usually offer discounts if you book up front online. Their details are: Blattisports (Click to link to their website, this is closest to our chalet of the two) Tille Sports 1862, Les Mosses, 0041 (0)24 491 15 67 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Lots of button lifts in the first two days. Beautiful location. We needed the variety of going to different areas as limited skiing in Les Mosses and so this worked very well in the week. Would like more comfortable seating in the lounge area. Rooms were a little tight with 4 people in them (La Sapinere). Showers were generally hot, but some cold days as everyone else used the water! (La Sapinere)
