An idea for any adventurous /creative church leader to promote

Alpha on Snow- The ultimate combination! For 'Alpha', read Food, christian Community, Laughter, Discussion, Faith... For 'Snow', read Mountains, Skiing, and Pure Undiluted Fun. An event not to be missed.

This unique trip was proposed for the week before Easter 2011, and as it's a Gold Hill Holiday, the price is all inclusive. This means that for your money you can ski or board, receive lessons from awesome instructors, enjoy great meals, full transport, accommodation, christian content and some great evening entertainment. In short, the only thing you'll be paying for is the hot chocolate and beer.

Once in Lauterbrunnen, a classic Swiss resort, we will spend all day skiing, and then enjoy Alpha in the evening, as we believe that this will be a great way to honestly examine and explore the claims of christians and Christianity.

For those of you not familiar with how this works, the evenings will consist of a cooked meal with friends, followed by a presentation from a christian speaker which will then be concluded with some discussion and a time for questions. Check out alpha.org for more information. 

We hope this will broaden the appeal and mean that people can invite friends who may feel less comfortable with our usual style of meeting. The content will be based around the nationally recognised, Alpha course, but adapted to fit in with our ski week.
