We have used a variety of venues in the Lake district to suit our group needs over the year. More recently we've stuck to the Northern Lakes, as the centre we use is perfect for our groups. We sometimes go for the more spectacular peaks such as Hellvelyn, Scafell and Skiddaw. However. the variety of walking on offer ranges from lowland rivers, bridges, waterfalls and lakes to ridges, high passes and peaks. We choose to organise our own catering to help keep the costs low and helping our cook for one day with cooking, washing up and cleaning is fun and won’t cut your walking time. We look forward to repeating the success of previous holidays. Bassenfell ManorBassenfell Manor, Christian Centre, is a beautiful old manor house and is located near Bassenthwaite Lake about 7 miles from Keswick. We return annually in September to this beautiful house. The centre is designed for groups and is comfortable and relaxing. The bedrooms are dormitory style with a maximum of four to a room and we can also offer twin and triple rooms and en-suite facilities. The Manor has a lounge, dining room, kitchen, drying room, and ample toilets and showers. We think you will feel very much at home here. For more information on the manor, visit their website. WalkingWe intend to organise two or three levels/paces of walking each day. Nevertheless, you are free to do as you please, either doing other things or just resting! For the non-walkers, or those taking a rest day, there are many interesting things to do around and about the centre.
If we can't offer you what you are looking for, then see if CRMC or CRC has it! |
