As a new venture, we are going to head to Norway in the summer of 2010 for a two week expedition style excursion to the remote and fascinating islands of Lofoten up on the Arctic circle. This will involve atrip through the spectacular fjords climbing, kayaking, wild camping and fishing for dinner.

Lofoten is an amazing set of islands in the Norwegian Arctic Circle. The 24 hours daylight sets off the cliffs in the Fjords. I'm convinced just being in this place will give you lasting memories! It certainly has for me, even 8 years after my last visit! We'll make the best use of the wild camping available and travel by road, foot and perhaps by kayak to access various parts of these remote islands which have a maritime climate due to the warming effect of the gulf stream.

The plan is to fly from the UK to the Lofoten Islands, hire a minibus to camp and travel around, then return to the UK two weeks later.We will arrange local transport, food, camping fuel and the activites, you will need to bring all camping gear.

Price: £1,200 includes: local transport, food, camping fuel, activities (climbing, kayaking, walking), some local hostels

You need to purchase your own flights for this trip- we will help you with this process and costed £350 when we looked in October 2008. You will need to bring your own camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, mat, stove)
