Walk The Ridgeway to the Gold Hill church weekend on 10-11 Nov 2011. We are really excited about the first Gold Hill church w/e in 20 years! The place we are staying is right on the Ridgeway, and the Ridgeway path runs right through the Chilterns. So why not walk to the church w/e!!!? It can be a kind of prayer walk, or pilgrimage of anticipation. We can prepare our hearts for all God wants to do. We can prepare our stomachs for all the good food. Ok, so walking right from here is a really long way. However, the last 24 miles are in really beautiful, open, rural countryside, few roads, far from the madding crowd. We have split it into two walks, 12 then 12.4 miles, so there will be no rush and plenty of time to share fellowship together. Our walk will break at the Court Hill centre, were we will be provided with all bedding, an evening meal, cooked breakfast and a packed lunch (for Friday). Comfortable, but not a hotel!
