This region is one of the top snowsports areas in Switzerland, with 200km of pistes. The charm of the traditional villages, the adventure of the North face of the Eiger, the thrill of the ski world cup run and the flexibility to use a variety of different areas on the same ski pass, all make this an unbeatable place in which to join us.

Chalet im Rhor

Our traditional chalet in Lauterbrunnen is situated at the heart of the Jungfrau region, with a fine view up the valley, famed for it's seventy waterfalls, which freeze up in winter! Our cosy chalet has bedrooms for 1,2, 3, 4 & 5, with washbasins and single beds.

The chalet is an 8 minute amble through the village, to the train station, where we store our ski gear.  The rail network serves the Wengen side of the mountain with skiing from Mannlichen or Kleine Scheidegg, or a cable car to access Murren and the Schilthorn at 2970m.

Hotel Staubbach

New to us for the 2010 season, but well known to us as it's just behind our regular chalet! The hotel has 68 beds in 33 rooms, most of them with private bathrooms. For a feel of the rooms and style, see their website at: www.staubbach.com. We're using this hotel for the early January week LSH in 2010.

The hotel is a 7 minute stroll from the train station, where we store our ski gear.  The rail network serves the Wengen side or the cable car gives access to the Murren side.

Horner Appartments

Opposite our regular chalet, im Rhor, and 2 minutes walk are the Horner appartments which offer some additional living space. To give you a feel for these, these photos were taken when we were investigating the place!
