Public transport
The public transport system in Switzerland is excellent, on time, clean and efficient. Most people speak English and are approachable. Use the transfer details for what we think is the most straightforward way to transfer on public transport, visit the sbb website and print the details in advance or ask at any train counter and they will be able to print details of your travel schedule including timings and even the right platform to wait on! You can pay for your ticket once seated on the train by cash or credit card but we’d recommend thinking about buying a swiss transfer ticket in advance for £75 (return) from www.sbb.ch which could save you money! (See also: travel-swiss.co.uk, swissrailways.com) Be aware that in some resorts, we use our coach to travel on a daily basis between different areas covered under the same ski pass and so you will need transport each day in the resort. In some resorts, we will have spare coach space available, but please speak to us so we can arrange this in advance. Where possible, we will put flyers in touch with each other, to share the costs of car hire if needed. Hiring a carIf there are two or more of you in the party, consider renting a car as this can be cheaper, considerably faster and give you flexibility in regions with a number of ski areas. Where possible, we’ll put you in touch with other flyers so you can arrange to share costs and driving. DirectionsThere are numerous airlines that offer flights to Switzerland. We’ve included some outline information below to help you decide on the airports and transfers. Don’t forget that a slightly more expensive flight may get you closer to the resort and reduce your transfer time and cost.
